A Note About Additional Calcium Carbonate & Citrate
We include both calcium carbonate and calcium citrate with a higher
percentage of calcium carbonate because calcium carbonate takes up less tablet
space and is less expensive to the consumer. That means the consumer can take
half as many tablets and pay less. In addition, scientific research shows that
both forms are absorbed equally well when taken with food.6 We recommend taking
all tablets with food to slow down the transit time in the digestive track
and increase absorption.
