Niacin is key for nutritional support for the brain. It is
necessary for the formation of the nucleotide enzymes
that are necessary for the efficient functioning of
mono-amine oxidase (MAO) in the brain.
MAO helps to eliminate brain-toxic by-products
from the metabolism of the essential amino acid
tryptophan, thus there are less of these "toxins" in
the brain to interfere with healthy brain function.
Niacin Plus is formulated to provide the body with
nutrients to support the action of this MAO natural
enzyme system that the body uses to "clean" the
brain.
The Niacin Flush - safe, beneficial & invigorating
SuperNutrition uses niacin because it is the more
active form of Vitamin B3. However, for some people,
taking niacin may result in a "niacin skin flush." This
niacin flush may result in a warm, tingling, reddening
of the skin (not to be confused with a rash). The
niacin flush can last from 15 minutes to 1 hour and
may be followed by a slight passing chill. If taken
with food, the possibility of a niacin flush may be
reduced. Taking more than one tablet at a time
increases the possibility of a niacin flush.
